Samba admin launches online yoga classes for post Covid care and prevention

SAMBA, May 8: District administration Samba in its endeavour to provide better health care facilities and preventive measures, today launched online yoga classes for prevention and post Covid care & rehabilitation.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta said that yoga is essential for better immunity and mental health especially amid the ragging pandemic. “We need yoga more than ever now because the entire focus today is on physical and mental well being- especially for those who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or who have recovered from it” said DC samba.
District administration Samba in collaboration with dept of AYUSH will start daily online YOGA classes from 10 May (Monday). The official order issued by DC Samba reads that online classes shall be held in two sessions, First online YOGA session will begin at 7:00AM to 7:30 AM for those wanting to improve immunity including asymptomatic Covid patients while the second online YOGA session will begin from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM for Covid recovered patients. The sessions will be conducted by qualified master trainer by AYUSH dept and shall be based on the common yoga protocol for prevention and post Covid care issued by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.
