GDC Ramgarh organised webinar on ‘Consumerism and Environment’

Ramgarh, May 8: To commemorate 75 years of India’s struggle “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Government Degree College, Ramgarh organised an open webinar on the topic ‘Consumerism and Environment on 7th of May, 2021. The webinar was organised under the guidance of Ms Sushma Chauhan (IAS), Secretary to Government Higher Education Department UT of J&K and under the patronage of Principal of the college Dr. Meeru Abrol. Research scholars of University of Jammu and Central University of Jammu as well as students of different colleges attended the open webinar. The webinar was organised to aware the students about the impact of consumerism on the resources of Environment.
At the outset, Ms Minali Deep, Department of EVS delivered the welcome address. Principal of the college Dr. Meeru Abrol in her address about the topic highlighted that consumerism plays a big role in climate change and hence environment. At the last, the event was concluded by Prof. Seema Sharma, Convenor, Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsava programmes through a formal vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Prof. Seema Sharma and Ms. Minali Deep under the guidance of Principal, Dr. Meeru Abrol.
