DC Reasi reviews Covid-19 containment measures in district

REASI, May 8: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Charandeep Singh, today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the steps being taken to counter the CoronaVirus pandemic in the district.
Among the others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, ACR Sanjay Badyal, CMO Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Dy.CMO, BMOs, Doctors, ARTO and Medical staff attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the war against the pandemic cannot be won without active cooperation of the people and everyone needs to take extra care and adhere to Covid-19 SOPs in letter and spirit. The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned for establishing control room which will work 24*7 and stressed upon the importance of wearing masks, maintaining hygiene and social distance and other SOPs regarding the COVID19.
He directed the ARTO to deploy special vehicles covered with covid banners to make the announcements regarding steps required to protect from CoronaVirus infection.
The Deputy Commissioner urged upon them to proactively sensitize the people to adhere to Covid-19 SOPs. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure full coverage of age appropriate persons under vaccination drive.
He also appealed to the public to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government for appropriate COVID-19 pandemic behaviour to break the highly infectious chain.
