JKTMA holds meeting, seeks to conduct DPCs of cadres

JAMMU, May 14: A monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Masters Association (JKTMA) held virtually under the chairmanship of State president Rakesh Singh to deliberate the genuine issues of teachers/ Masters.
While speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Singh said that despite successful completion of first phase of NISHTHA modules online and instructions of SPD Samaghra Siksha to all the DIET Principals to pay Rs 850 incentive to all the teachers no such incentive is given to the teachers. Expressing his resentment against the dilly dallying casual approach of working of DIETs, Singh said that it is the duty of DIET Principals to release the timely remuneration of teaching community either who received training or who worked as Resource Person in DIET training and appealed to release such incentives at the earliest to Concerned teachers.
Forum also appreciated all the teachers who are engaged in Covid duties in different capacities and appealed all the Deputy commissioners to keep full attention of safety measures of all the teachers as per latest SOP and also provide vaccination and insurance coverage to all the teachers engaged in Covid duties at priority.
Highlighting the importance of Biotechnology subject Forum members said that it the Biotechnology which is coming forward to fight against Covid pandemic and also most of the students want to opt for the Biotechnology as a subject at Higher Secondary level but they are deprived of this opportunity due to non-availability of subject in Higher Secondary Schools. Association urged the Administrative Secretary School Education department to introduce Biotechnology in at least 10 Higher Secondary Schools of every district in larger interest of student community.
Association also demanded to conduct DPC from higher cadre to lower cadre as per Govt order 252- HE/SRO 339 and fulfill all the vacant posts of ZEO, Principals, Lecturers at the earliest.
