Jammu, May 14: The Civil Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) organizes webinar on the topic “REVIT ARCHITECTURE” in association with CADD Centre, Jammu. This activity was conducted under IIC Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
The initiative was taken to engage the students and enhance their knowledge in the field of Civil Engineering software. Two hours session was conducted by Amitava Halder, a Corporate Trainer, Civil Engineer from North. More than 80 students of 5th semester of Civil Engineering and faculty members participated. Amitava Halder gave detailed introduction and discussed development for modeling and designing using Autodesk Rivet. He introduced National Building Code and modeling in Revit.The basic aim of the webinar was to inculcate the concept of parametric design in Rivet using Dynamo and using the same to create models. Under this, there is 360-degree perspective to modeling and drafting a commercial project aided with design provisions. The session was very interactive. He deliberated on the various approaches and also threw some light on Introduction to Revit, basics of Modelling, use of Rivet for Better Drawings, 3D Modeling of residential units, modeling of Floors, walls etc. Resource persons and Director CADD Centre Jammu Ms. Anjali Chopra were welcomed by Er. Rajnish Magotra, HoD ( Civil Engineering ) and vote of thanks was delivered by Er. Kamal Kishore, Assistant Professor. Er. Vidhi. S Singh Jamwal, Chairman, Er. Renu Bangroo, M.D and Prof. ( Dr.) A. K. Srivastava, Director appreciated the efforts of Civil Engg. Department for giving exposure to the students in the world of work during this Pandemic time.
