The leaders of JKCREA have pledged its full support at all levels and appealed the whole of its cadres and members to come forward at this critical moment. It is informed that JKRCEA has been providing the food items to the labourers, daily wage workers and other needy whose daily works have been affected due to lockdown.
In order to chalk out the strategy to reach out the people even in rural areas and to provide essential commodities to them under CORONA Curfew, the leaders of JKRCEA held a virtual meeting today which was joined by its members from Samba, Kathua, Chenab Valley, Akhnoor, Rajouri and Poonch in which the detailed deliberations with district teams of JKRCEA were held for the active involvement of JKRCEA Cadres for Covid mitigation and containment.
Prof. G.L.Thapa, Working President of JKRCEA while speaking emphasized on the need for active role of leaders of socio-religious, young cadres and those associated with healthcare in containment efforts like communication about Covid appropriate behaviour in public, helping govt. to promote vaccination in rural areas and vulnerable groups and timely testing.
Mohinder Bhagat, Working General Secretary, JKRCEA said that after creating havoc in the urban areas, the second wave of COVID-19 is found to be fast spreading in rural belts which is due to several underlying factors, including lack of awareness among rural masses, very limited or no supply of clean water, malnutrition and most importantly & above all is ill-equipped and insufficient public health centres and district hospitals. In view of this, in order to tackle the problem, he advised the JKRCEA at district, Tehsil, block and even village level in the rural areas to actively participate and join hands with govt. machinery to effectively respond to the COVID pandemic in rural areas.
Pledging the full support to the govt. and COVID mitigation machineries, JKCREA have established the help desk for providing the rations & other commodities and also for medical consultation.
