DC Jammu reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission plan

Jammu, May 15: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg today reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission plan here at a meeting of the District level Committee.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Ramesh Kumar; CPO Yoginder Katoch; Superintendent Engineer Hydraulic Sumit Puri; CMO JP Singh; CEO and nominated members of the committee besides other concerned officers. The SE Hydraulic apprised that District Jammu was in the second phase of the Mission and DPR of all the works under JJM have been completed. He further informed that the works will be executed after seeking Administrative approval.
Reviewing the water connections provided to schools and Anganwadi centers, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO and PO ICDS to share the data of uncovered schools and Anganwadi centers with SE Hydraulic to enable the department to take steps in this regard. He further directed to provide tap water connections to all Panchayat ghars.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the mission envisages providing safe and adequate drinking water facilities to all households by December 2022.
