Early Times Report

Jammu, May 15: Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma (CA) hailed the Rupees 2 crore financial package announced by LG Manoj Sinha for workers in different categories who have suffered for the second consecutive year due to the Covid pandemic. He also stressed upon getting vaccinated and termed it as the only solution to avoid the virus. Sharma said this while addressing a virtual meeting of BJP Mahila Morcha held under the leadership of UT President Sanjeeta Dogra which was also attended by UT Vice President BJP Anuradha Charak and other senior women leaders of UT.
In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma said that around 18914 workers including Shikarawalahs, Poneywalahs, Guides, Dandiwalas, Sledgewallahs, Palkiwallahs and 1.66 lakh construction workers among others will be benefited from the package approved by LG which is a major step to bring back the life on track of those people whose lives are badly hit by the pandemic. He said such a step will improve the lifestyle of many needy people whose work is affected from the past one year.
Stating vaccine is the only cure for the virus, Sharma said that in the reports issued by National Health Mission (NHM), it can be seen that 93 % of those who died of the infection in the last 29 days had not received their vaccine jab which states that vaccination hugely reduces the chances of death.
He appealed to the masses especially senior citizens to get themselves vaccinated and said that don’t take the symptoms lightly and if any problem persists, get tested immediately so that the treatment can also be started as soon as the virus is detected.
He said that BJP under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is reaching out to masses even in these dangerous times and are helping the people in every way possible to avoid public distress.
