Jammu, May 30: A meeting of the prominent people of the Mishriwala (Jammu) held under the chairmanship of S Kulwant Singh in which the order issued by the Lt. Governor of Jammu Kashmir Union Territory regarding replacement of transform in urban areas within eight hours and rural areas within forty eight hours was strongly condemned in one voice. While speaking on the occasion he said that such discriminatory order must be revoked immediately. The requirements of the people from rural areas can’t be differentiated with the residents of urban areas. Residents of rural areas are also human being and need basic amenities such as electricity and water etc. While speaking on the occasion Madan Lal Narad social activist said that it is always seen generally the development of rural areas is always being ignored. Such attitude of the people at helm of affairs is dragging the public from rural areas on backfoot. It has also encouraged migration from villages towards cities and small towns which has become extra burden on the available resources meant for urban areas. Ankit Sharma, Subjeet Singh Nb Sarpanch, Joginder Singh panch, Rohit Verma, Saneep verma, Sub. Mohan Singh, Chuni Lal Sharma, Vishaldeep and Jaswinder were also present on the occasion. |
