EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, June 9: Hari Singh Chib, President District Congress Committee Jammu Rural has lambasted the Bharatiya Janata Party and its leaders for not showing concern towards the serious issues of the common people. He castigated the party for forgetting all its promises after getting a huge mandate from the people and leaving them to fend for themselves. The DCC president stated this today during his visit to Upper Paloura Ward No: 60 of Raipur Domana to take stock of the problems being faced by the people of the area.
During his visit conducted in response to the request of the people of their area, Chib was accompanied by Congress Party workers Nazir Ahmad, Shahbaj Khan and Afiz besides the team of Executive Engineer PHE City-1, AEE and JE from the administration side. The residents of the area apprised Chib about the scarcity of drinking water in their area.
The DDC Rural president asked the XEn PHE to address the drinking water problem by expediting the ongoing pipeline work. He also requested him for early completion of 10 inch dia distribution pipe line from O.H.T 3rd stage Mohalla Gujjar Paloura to Mohalla Dhok Paloura and adjoining areas which he said would improve the water supply position in the area. He also impressed upon the aforesaid authorities to dig two tube wells for Paloura in order to overcome the water scarcity problem faced by the people. In the meanwhile, Chib took up the matter with the Chief Engineer PHE telephonically and asked him to take adequate steps for resolving this significant people's issue in the least possible time.
Taking serious note of the badly damaged roads due laying of water supply pipe lines, DCC Jammu Rural President appealed to the government to immediately start black topping of these damaged roads. He also requested the Executive Engineer PHE to replace the entire defunct Turn Cock valves in the area so that the people would get regular supply of potable water. Meanwhile, Chib lambasted the BJP leadership for not showing seriousness towards this grave basic issue and leaving people in lurch.
