| Dir Horticulture reviews progress under Central schemes in Kathua district | | |  EARLY TIMES REPROT
JAMMU, JUNE 09: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak, today visited Kathua district and chaired a meeting of the officers to review the progress of various centrally sponsored schemes, as well as Capex Budget and the status of the physical achievements made there of. During the tour, the Director visited the revenue orchard at Mirpur Ram and issued on spot instructions regarding fencing and plantation in the revenue orchard. He also visited Farmers Facilitation Centre Kathua and instructed them to upgrade and make it fully functional. He also visited Govt. Fruit Plant Nursery Taraf Tajwal, Kathua and ascertained the achievements made regarding the budding / grafting for the production of quality planting material besides inspecting the plantation done during the previous season under different schemes Later, the Director visited the Fruit Plant Nursery Vijaypur and inspected the ongoing works and instructed the nursery staff to work with zeal and dedication. . He also impressed upon all the officers to achieve the targets in full allotted to them and convene mass awareness programmes to inform the farmers about schemes of the department so that the farmers can avail maximum benefits. During the visit, Director was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Kathua, Deputy Director Planning Jammu, DLSMSs, MCC Kathua and other officers of the department |
