| JKCCTU holds meet, discusses present situation, burning problems of employees, workers | | |

Jammu, June 20: A virtual State committee meeting of JKCCTU presided over by Md. Maqbool president was held today which was attended by most of the office bearers and state committee members .
Gurmeet Singh Gen. Secretary put up the agenda and the president explained in detail the present issues facing the working class today.
The meeting discussed the present situation with regard to burning problems of employees and workers, the alarming price rise of fuel and essential commodities, rampant privatization of Govt. and Public sector units and the action program and some organizational matters.
The meeting expressed its serious concern over the alarming rise of essential commodities, fuel prices, unemployment, freezing of DA of Govt employees and Pensioners, job cuts and Govt.’s refusal to regularize the temporary workers like Casual, contract, Aganwadi, Asha and non payment of wages to a large section of workers including helper to Supervisors, and failure in providing mass vaccination to the people and safety measures to frontline workers.
The meeting while criticizing the present anti working class policies of Central Govt. endorsed the action program of All India State Employees Federation (AISGEF) for large scale protests throughout the country on above burning issues of employees on 15th July 2021.The meeting decided to hold protests throughout state in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir on 15th, july. The venue will be decided later on. |
