Let your children choose their career on their own

Choosing a career has become one of the most difficult tasks for the students .This is because parents thrust their own decisions on their children which eventually tear down the whole career of the students, if he or she is not interested in that field. Students should choose their own field in which they know they can excel. If our parents see anyone in our family studying medicine and going to foreign countries to pursue MBBS, then they start comparing their own children with them and thrust their decisions on their own children.
Many parents who were not able to pursue their past goals or fulfill their dreams, they then see the ray of hope in their children and ask them to stand up to their expectations. Do you think it is right? Absolutely Not! Every person comes into this world with their own dreams, hopes, passion and expectations. Then why their parents are snatching their dreams from them by thrusting their own career choices on them. Parents need to change this ideology and they must trust their children, for genes have nothing to do with the career of the children. If you are a doctor, scientist, professor, engineer doesn’t mean your child too will be interested in your field.
Every child has their own potential. He or she can be an expert at different professions. Allow your children to determine their career choice by their own aptitude and interests so that you can see the best version of your child. The student, who is not allowed to make his own career choice, ultimately falls prey to the depression and he or she is not able to do anything and even sometimes, he or she runs away from his own home to make a career of his or her own choice. We can see that everyone is going with the same flow, the students who want to do fashion designing, singing, dancing, painting are sitting in medical and non-medical colleges because of their families. Our country doesn’t need only doctors and engineers. Every profession has its own importance. Be it a singer, lawyer, dancer, make-up artist all fields can prove to be successful and can take the person to the heights, only if he is interested in it. It’s all the matter of interest which makes us something out of nothing. Without interest, we cannot be successful. So parents must give up their orthodox nature and support their children in their interested fields.
