Jammu, Jun 25: All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha celebrated 623rd Kabir Jayanti at its Head-Quarter Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara, Bishnah with great zest & fervor. Due to the COVID-19 advisory & in view the guidelines issued by UT Administration, the gathering was restricted while observing social distancing and other parameters in this regard.
President of “All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha”, F.C. Bhagat while addressing the gathering said that Kabir Das was the first Indian saint who has co-ordinated between different religions & gave a universal path which could be followed by all. He said where there is truth, no religion is required because truth itself is a great religion.
This day shall be celebrated as a beginning of the social revolution in India because the philosophy of kabir is irrespective of any religion, caste or creed & it is based on equality amongst all. Kabir advised his followers to give up such inhuman practices as untouchability, feelings of high and low etc. The Sabha thereafter appeal to the public at large that all the district / block / village committees shall celebrate this function preferably at home or at safer places.
