| GDC Khour observes International Day against “Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking” | | |

Jammu, June 28: NSS unit in collaboration with De-Drug Addiction Cell of GDC Khour observed International Day against “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” by organizing poster making and slogan writing competition.
The event was organized by NSS PO Prof Gurvinder Kour under the guidance of Prof. Hans Raj, Principal of the College. A total of 25 posters on slogan writing and poster making were received from different colleges across the UT of J&K and Jammu University in which the students disseminated the message to understand the drug problem being faced by the world.
In Poster Making, 1st position was secured by Kanchan Manhotra of GDC Khour, 2nd by Rimple Sharma of Law School, University of Jammu and 3rd by Komal Muskan Pandita of Law School, University of Jammu. In Slogan Writing, 1st position was secured by Jagmeet Kour of University of Jammu, 2nd by Muskan Chib of GDC Marh and 3rd position was shared by Priya Lakhotra of GDC Reasi & Priya Kumari of GDC Khour. Prof. Tarsem Lal (HOD Chemistry), Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma (HOD Economics) and Prof. Anju Kumari (HOD Physics) were the jury members. The Principal of the College congratulated the participants for their participation in the event with zeal and enthusiasm and appreciated the team organizing the event. He emphasized that the motive of the event is to create awareness among the students not to indulge in such menace of drug abuse and he also stressed upon the students to participate in the campaign against drug abuse and illicit trafficking and make the masses aware about various aspects of drug abuse prevalent in the society.
