People demand probe in Tourism project, resuming work on road

Poonch, June 28: A team of National Conference leaders today visited the far-flung Mandi Loran area of Poonch district and held a meeting with villagers to get first-hand information about their problems.
The team was headed by Former MLA Poonch, Provincial President of Youth NC, Ajaz Jan.
During their visit, NC leaders were called upon by locals of the area who put forth several problems and demanded that work on road Wand Tantry – Thanda Ban panchayat Tantray Gam started in 2013 should be resumed as the same has been suspended by present government for reasons better known to concerned departments.
People also demanded a balance ration of last three months besides the need to bring betterment in the power sector of the area.
Jan also visited Balnai area of Mandi.
Jan listened to the grievances of locals and self-assured them that whatever difficulties are faced by the whole area will be redressed as soon as possible.
The people of Balnai thanked member of DDC Mandi Atiqa Jan and Ajaz Jan for the approval of the road from Balnai to Naba Matto ziarat. He told people that they should not raise any disturbance or difficulty in the construction of this road.
The public of Balnai demanded Jan for completion of projects which are pending since 2014 in panchayat Balnai like water lift scheme, construction of road from Rajpura to Balnai.
An issue of non presence of medical staff at Sub Centre was raised by the public before Ajaz Jan. Jan later on discussed this issue with BMO Mandi for deployment of medical staff at this sub centre as soon as possible.
The main demand by the people was related to probe in a tourism project of the area and they alleged that tourism department has not worked in a transparent manner on a tourism project of the area.
Prominent those who accompanied are Abdul Ahad Bhatt Block President, Ab Ahad Kamrat, Kh Mashooq Ahmed, Kh Abdul Razak, Abdul Jabar Tantary, Gulam Bhatt, Abdul Ahad Megray, Rafiq Lone, Amned Din, Haji Mohmad Akram, Wali Mohad Tantary, Mukhtar Rathore, Rashid Member, Ch Imtaz Ahmed, Tariq Sheikh and Others.
