Early Times Report

RS PURA, June 28: DDC Member Taranjit Singh Tony on Monday dedicated the project for segregation of PDD Transmission lines to the people of Village Sai in R S Pura area.
Talking on the occasion, T.S Tony said that the power project has been conceived to rationalize the power load which earlier was creating a problem of load shedding in the area thus forcing the residents to have sleepless nights.
“After extensively classifying the load requirements in the aforesaid area the project was envisaged dividing the entire village into three sectors”, he said adding that the sectors 2 and 3 have been covered today and the remaining sector viz No 1 will also be brought under the ambit of this project soon. He said that an extensive exercise was initiated by the PDD department after he took the initiative and asked them to act swiftly in the matter to ensure that the people will soon get a sigh of relief.
Tony said that he will also conduct door to door meetings in the Suchetgarh area to have firsthand knowledge of people’s issues and problems which consequently will be resolved in the coming days.
The DDC Member T.S Tony took serious note of the absence of Junior Engineer, AE and, AEE of STD wing of PDD during the inauguration of the aforesaid project. He said this is the height of irresponsibility that those who are supposed to man this project are so phlegmatic that they never bothered to participate in the launch function. He said that instead of marked their presence in the official programme, they preferred to sit in their AC rooms. He asked the concerned authority to immediately transfer these delinquent officials from the jurisdiction of Suchetgarh as he will not tolerate such kind of indifferent attitude by the public servants.
During the launch of the project Sarpanch Sai Khurd Sarbjeet Singh, Chela Singh, Shobha Singh, Sarpanch Chakrohi Sham Lal Bhagat Niab Sarpanch Roshan Bhagat, Panchs from Sai Ravi Kumar, Sher Singh,Thodi Ram, Ajay Kumar, Captain Kamjeet Singh, Balbir Singh Nagra and Vicky Choudhary, and Ramesh Choudhary from Gharana were also present.
Meanwhile, the DDC member also visited Village Karotana Kalan and listened to the problems being faced by the people of the area regarding the dilapidated condition of roads. HE assured the inhabitants that the roads leading to Temple and Gurdwara will be blacktopped within a day or so.
