Deputy Mayor JMC distributes dry ration
7/9/2021 11:03:39 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 9: Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC along with Ashok Koul as the chief guest distributed dry ration among the needy outside Historical Ram Temple, Purani Mandi in ward no. 11.
Koul on the occasion said that today in this Historic Ram temple at Purani Mandi in ward 11, a dry ration distribution program was organised by Purnima Sharma to help the needy people of the area.
Further said that Bharatiya Janta Party has helped the needy even during the first and second Covid wave by distributing dry ration, face masks, sanitizers, cooked meals and many other social welfare activities.
Continuing such activities, today Purnima Sharma along with Vinay Gupta have organised this dry ration distribution program.
He further added that under the slogan of "Nar Seva Narayan Seva", Seva hi Sangathan is being done by us all in BJP. Once again, he congratulated Purnima Sharma for doing such programs so that no-one has to suffer during this pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion she said," If we look at the politics of India post 2014, Since PM Modi became the prime minister, BJP and Hon'ble PM Modi have changed raajneeti ki sanskriti (culture of politics) in the country, Before 2014, politicians would come, deliver speeches and make promises but would not keep them. BJP has changed that now. If we are elected representatives, we will work and serve the people and then go to them with our report card - this is how we work now".
Deputy Mayor further said that earlier in politics there was mewa or dry fruits instead of seva or service. Now with PM Modi and BJP at the helm, we believe there is just seva and we work for the last man standing in the queue, the poor, the harassed, the deprived and the Dalits by bringing them into the mainstream.
So today under Seva hi Sangathan, we are distributing dry ration among the needy of ward no. 11 consisting of 1 flour bag, 1 rice bag and 1 sugar packet, in order to show them even during this pandemic we(BJP) are always by their side to help them in need.
Deputy Mayor while addressing the general public appealed not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and only to go out when it's important and while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
During the celebration, Mahamandaleshwar Rameshwar Das ji, Vikram Randawa ex MLC, Parveen Arora (State Executive Member & Coincharge Ayushman Bharat), Vinay Gupta (District President), Narinder Gupta (Koki) (District Secretary), Parveen Kerni (Mandal President), Rajinder Babu (Mandal General Secretary), Vinod Gupta (Mandal Secretary), Vijay Sharma (Booth President), Shubh Lata Sharma (Jammu District General Secretary Mahila Morcha), Sunita Wazir (Jammu District Mahila Morcha Vice President), Raman Abrol, Madhav Singh Thakur , Sudershan Ji and other prominent residents of the ward also accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
