Early Times Report
REASI, July 9: The massive Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign launched by District Administration Reasi is set to cover all habitations across the twelve blocks of the district which entered the second day, today.
A mobile Van (CAB Rath) flagged off from District headquarters Complex for spreading awareness on dos and don'ts of COVID appropriate behavior is moving from village to village.
On the first day of campaign, CAB Rath was sent to Katra and Panthal blocks, where s large number of PRIs and local people were made aware and educated on COVID-19. The local people welcomed and appreciated this unique move of district administration. On the second day Rath reached Pouni where a similar response was evoked among local people.
Decked up with banners and flowers, the CAB Rath encouraged the people for adopting COVID appropriate behavior, while passing from one habitation to another in Katra, Pantha and Pouni. At some places local people also enthusiastically participated in signature campaigns and pledge ceremonies.
The main purpose of this initiative is to change the public behavior to make them follow all norms and rules required for rooting out this pandemic from every region of the district.
Further, Nukad Natak and Yoga sessions were also held to mobilise and motivate local people for such activities, which help in bringing behavioural change among masses.
The CAB Rath will remain in service in all twelve blocks of the district which includes Arnas, Thuroo, Bhomag, Pouni, Reasi, Thuroo, Jij, Thakarakote, Mahore, Gulabgarh and Chasana. In every block BDOs will coordinate with the PRIs and make all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of this IEC campaign through Rath.
It is worthwhile to mention that since the beginning of this COVID-19 Pandemic, District Administration Reasi has introduced a lot of innovative techniques to seek public support in eradicating it and achieving 100 percent vaccination in the district.
