| Eid-ul-Adha arrangements discussed | | |

KATHUA, July 16: In order to finalize the necessary arrangements in connection with the ensuing Eid-ul-Adha, Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav chaired a meeting of concerned Officers and Members of Masjid Committees at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex here today.
Detailed discussion was held on various arrangements regarding the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, especially the availability of water supply at the designated places, uninterrupted power supply, adequate supply of ration, rate and quality checking of eatables, security arrangements and proper sanitation during the celebration were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, the DC directed the concerned departments to ensure the availability of water supply, uninterrupted power supply, security arrangements and proper cleanliness in and around the various Eid-Gahs and Masjids in the district.
The CEO MC Kathua was directed to ensure proper sanitation arrangements in the town and at the Eid-Ghas.
The AD FCS&CA and Legal Metrology Department were directed to keep a check on the rates and quality of essential commodities and take action against those indulging in overcharging and black-marketing.
Regarding the security arrangements, the DC asked the ASP Kathua to deploy adequate police personnel at designated places in the town. For smooth Traffic regulation, the Traffic department was directed to ensure deployment of traffic personnel at jam prone places. While interacting with representatives of Masjid Committees, the Deputy Commissioner called for adhering to all Covid-19 related SOPs during Eid Prayers. ADC Atul Gupta, ASP Kathua and other concerned officers of line departments were also present.
