UDHAMPUR, July 17: Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, IPS, ADGP / Director SKPA Udhampur handed over Jammu - Kashmir Police Medal for meritorious service to the NOKs of late ASI Ashfaq Ahmed PID No. ARP-805646 of SKPA Udhampur conferred upon him posthumously by the Govt. of J&K.
The Medal was received by Tasveer Begum wife of Late Ashfaq Ahmed. She was accompanied by her son Afraz Ahmed. Dr. Jamwal remembered the services rendered by Late ASI Ashfaq Ahmed and said that he was an excellent police officer who never compromised with discipline and duty as a Drill instructor. His services were recognised by the senior officers from time to time for which, he was granted number of commendation certificates, cash rewards, DGPs Medal in the year 2002 and the Jammu - Kashmir Police Medal for meritorious services in the year 2012 conferred upon him posthumously.
The said medal recipient had expired while in service. It was a very emotional moment for Tasveer Begum wife of Late Ashfaq Ahmed to receive the medal on behalf of her deceased husband. She thanked Director SKPA Udhampur for the same. Among others, Mohan Lal, JKPS SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor), Vinay Kumar, JKPS SSP, Dy. Director (Admn.), K. K. Sharma, DySP, AD (Q), Ramesh Kataria, DySP(S), PS to Director SKPA Udhampur were present on the occasion. |
