DC Rajouri finalises arrangements for Eid-ul Adha
Appeals people to follow Covid safety protocols during celebrations

RAJOURI, July 17: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today appealed to the people to follow COVID-19-appropriate behaviour during the Eid-ul-Adha and other festivals.
He was chairing a meeting of the public representatives, prominent citizens and concerned officers here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow to discuss and finalize the arrangements for the Eid.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; BDC Chairperson Rajouri, Durbar Chowdhury; BDC Chairperson Budhal Old-A, Javed Iqbal Chowdhury; BDC Chairperson Doongi, Raiz Chowdhury; BDC Chairperson Dhangri, Rameshwar Singh; BDC Chairperson Sunderbani, Arun Sharma; BDC Chairperson Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdoz; BDC Chairperson Siot, Balkrishan; BDC Chairperson Nowshera, Bodh Raj; BDC Chairperson Darhal, Mohd Aslam; BDC Chairperson Plunger, Parveen Akhter; BDC Chairperson Manjakote, Shamshad Begum; BDC Chairperson Moughla, Surekha Devi; BDC Chairperson Budhal New, Shamim Akhter and other senior officers attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply to the public so that they don’t face any inconveniences in this regard.
The Police authorities were directed to deploy adequate police personnel en route to the procession. The Traffic authorities were directed to prepare well thought-out traffic management and parking plans to ensure hassle-free to-and-fro movement of vehicles on the scheduled day. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the EO MC Rajouri to ensure cleanliness around the major mosques among other major places of worship throughout Eid celebrations and ensure proper street lighting.
