JAMMU, July 23: Division of Food Science and Technology of Sher- e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), organized one day training programme on "Processing of Mango" under RKVY project entitled, "Value addition of sub-tropical fruits for women empowerment in Jammu district" at village Parvah, Marh Zone, District Jammu. In this training about 40 rural farm women and unemployed youth from village Parvah participated.
Dr Vikram Katryal, AEO, Marh, at the start of the programme extended a warm welcome to the participating rural women, unemployed youth and Panch of Parvah village.
Dr Neeraj Gupta, Principal Investigator, RKVY Project started the training programme and gave detailed demonstration for making squash from mango fruit. Dr Anju Bhat, Professor and Head, FST delivered the lecture on nutritional significance of mango and its potential into processing.
At the end of the programme, Rinku Sharma, JAEO Marh expressed the vote of thanks to the participants, Panch and the persons involved in the training programme. |
