Thereafter, he underwent training at a militant camp in Jammu & Kashmir. He had also spent his time in Philippines Palau Island from 2008 to 2011. He got married in 2013 to a local girl of Assam and they have a son,” sources said.
Soon after arrest, Zaman confessed being an operative of Hizbul Mujahideen, a Pakistan-based terror organisation. Qamer Uz Zaman, who was quite active on social media since April 2018, was on the radar of NIA.
Qamer uz Zama was running a cloth shop in Kishtwar posh locality in Chinar Gali area from where he suddenly disappeared during early 2017 and since then remains untraceable before his arrest by the UP ATS in September 2018. He had stayed in America for nearly 4 years from where he shifted to Bangladesh where he stayed for about two years before return to India.
The intelligence agencies sounded an alert and finally his movement was traced in militancy hot bed of Dachhan and Marwah after he was seen along with another 21 year old youth Osama Javed from a Dachhan village. After waiting for few months for her husband to return, his wife returned to Assam along with her minor son.
