Directs officers of line departments to expedite the pace of ongoing works for timely completion during the working season

DODA, July 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today conducted an extensive tour of Sub division Gandoh.
He met BDC chairpersons, District Development Council members, representatives of NGOs, social workers, Sarpanches, civil society members, and general public. He also reviewed the performance of line departments in the Sub division along with the SDM Gandoh.
While reviewing the progress of Dadkei road, the DDC directed the concerned agency i.e PMGSY to re tender the balance work within week so that work shall get started and directed SDM fo submit the report in this regard, besides directed to start the acquisition process at Shingni road and further directed the concerned to visit the site alongwith the concerned authorities to resolve the issue.
With regard to Batyas Manoie road the DDC directed the executing agency to take up the matter with the Chief Engineer so that it should be tendered or extra funds shall be made available so that it can be completed, besides SDM has been directed to enquire about the expenditure incurred on Kahara to Chalar road is exactly proportionate to the work done or not and to submit the report in this regard.
Besides Ex En PHE Spl sub division has been directed to conduct the detailed enquiry on the Khuddidar water supply scheme which is allegedly informed that it is non existent and to take strict action against the erring official and report shall be also submitted to the DC office positively.
With regard to overcharging by passenger vehicles the DDC directed the SDM to ensure strict enforcement by mobilising the Naib Tehsildars to hold challaning at mass level, besides asked to cancel the route permit and license of the violators, besides Tehsildar Gandoh has been asked to identify the land wherein the test drive shall be conducted.
Regarding the shortage of staff in RDD the DDC directed the planning section to forward a correspondence to the director RDD in this regard, besides asked the Tehsildar Gandoh to attend the office in additional Tehsil on every Saturday without any fail.
While commenting on the issue of Awass plus the DDC directed the ACD to give wide publicity to the registered beneficiaries on social media and newspapers for social audit, besides asked them to also popularise the tenders of works approved under ADP for general information of the public.
Moreover, various other important issues were highlighted by the deputations with regard to ongoing works, quality being maintained, over charging, irregularities in execution of works, shortage of staff in health and education sector, sanitation issues, no parking space availability, construction of Community toilet complexes etc, for which the DDC assured every possible disposal on priority basis.
The DDC directed the officers of all line departments to speed up the pace on all ongoing works for their timely completion during the working season, besides asked to ensure strict vigilance on their subordinates.
Moreover the DDC directed the SDM to hold an awareness program about various welfare schemes for the youth of this area under Mission Youth and Mumkin scheme, so that they shall avail the maximum benefits from these schemes and shall also communicate the same among the general public.
The DDC was accompanied by CPO Doda, SDM Gandoh, ACD Doda, Tehsildar Gandoh, SDPO Gandoh besides other officers of sub divisional Administration were also present.
