| Plantation drive organized | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: The J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, district Udhampur organized a plantation drive of medicinal herbs in various public places including public parks and religious institutions. On this occasion, Vice President Ashok Kumar said that plants are our best friends along with giving us life and air, they can protect us from many types of diseases occurring in our body. He further stated that the sages of ancient times and till some time ago our mothers and sisters used to use these medicinal herbs. He also gave information about Neem, Curry leaves, Gudhal and Behada. On this occasion, District Secretary Veena Sharma said that the child who will take care of the plant for one year will also be given an appreciation certificate.
Scouts Master Amar Dev Singh and Ved Kumar said that the way in which changes in the environment are being seen in the whole world, for this the whole world will have to be aware.
Others who contributed on this occasion are Scout Master Dr Khem Raj, Arun Kumar, Guide Captains Divyangna Dubey, Anu Radha Sharma and Priyanka Sharma. |
