NCCHWO organizes awareness programme on personal hygiene of sports girls

JAMMU, Aug 16: The spectacular performance by the daughters of India in various fields, including the sphere of intellect and sports, has made the nation proud. Given correct guidance, the Women can prove their worth in any and every field. NCCHWO National Women Empowerment Cell under the guidance of national advisor of the organization Brigadier Harcharan Singh chalked out a programme to conduct an awareness session on personal hygiene for the young sports girls from Jammu, who are preparing themselves for national/international level events. The event was conducted in collaboration with Rotary Club Elite and State Education Teachers Employees Cell. It was represented by J&K Gymnastics national team coach Manisha (State Parshuram Awardee) that the girl Gymnasts have to be prepared for competitions in a holistic manner, including personal hygiene. Pooja Malhotra (National President NCCHWO Women Empowerment Cell) volunteered and conducted a lecture on the subject for the J&K Girls Gymnasts, followed by an interactive session. Pooja is also a Health Education Service expert. The programme was presided over by Arjuna Awardee, Krupali Singh. It was brought out that a player should keep in a high state of fitness, till the last day of competition. Hence, in addition to physical aspects of fitness, the diet and health/hygiene issues are equally important for maintaining a competitive edge and for ensuring a medal winning performance. After the lecture, a hygiene kit was presented to all the girl gymnasts, followed by healthy refreshment, cosponsored by all the three organizations.
The members of NCCHWO included Advocate Supriya and Gurvinder. From Rotary Club Elite Meena Jaggi, Paramjit, Archana, Manish, Sangeeta, Nidhi and Jassi were present. On behalf of the organizers, Arjuna Awardee, Krupali Singh and Parshuram Awardee Manisha, the Coach of the Gymnastic team were felicitated for their contributions towards sports and women empowerment.
