DDC chairman, members, JCC&I, other public delegations call on Advisor Bhatnagar

JAMMU, Aug 16: District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Jammu, Bharat Bhushan along with DDC members today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar at Civil Secretariat here and apprised him about the various developmental issues and concerns of Jammu district.
The Chairman and members, while interacting with the Advisor, raised several issues of public importance with the Advisor and demanded speedy execution of work for all the projects of Jammu city.
The delegation also demanded proper delegation of powers to the DDC members for formulating district wise and block wise developmental plans. They also demanded adequate security for the members.
The Advisor while interacting with the delegation assured them that all of their genuine demands will be resolved on priority. He informed them that the LG administration has strengthened the PRIs in Jammu and Kashmir and DDC is the bedrock of the ongoing development of J&K.
Meanwhile a delegation of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCC&I) also called on Advisor Bhatnagar and apprised him about the various issues faced by the chamber. They demanded full vaccination of traders to deal with possible third wave of covid besides other issues.
Similarly a delegation of All J&K Govt. Engineering Draftsman Association Central Body met with Advisor Bhatnagar and raised several issues pertaining to their services in the department. They demanded DPCs on timely basis for due promotion and other service benefits.
A delegation of Vocational Instructors of ITIs of Skill Development Department demanded finalization of recruitment rules for gazetted and non-gazetted posts of ITIs.
Likewise a delegation of all Jammu and Kashmir Saakshar Bharat Mission demanded a roadmap for absorption of Saakhsar Bharat Mission employees in government departments.
Similarly a delegation of Gurduwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Nanak Sahib met the Advisor Bhatnagar and demanded allotment of land for reconstruction of religious gurduwara.
A delegation of locals from Nai Basti, Nimbla, Ramnagar raised several issues with the Advisor and demanded maintenance of PWD road and approach walls in their area.
Similarly, a delegation of individuals Konain Ramnagar demanded construction of link road from Bhalla reservoir to Govt. High school Konain and Ayurvedic Dispensary to Mohra Sushal.
Besides these delegations several individuals from Jammu, Samba, Kathua and other adjoining areas met the Advisor and demanded redressal of their grievances.
The Advisor while interacting with these delegations assured them that all of their genuine demands will be redressed on time.
