BDC chairperson Mahore convenes meeting of officers, PRIs
Asks for holding Panchayat level awareness camps

MAHORE, Aug 18: Chairperson of Block Development Council Mahore, Shahida Parveen today convened a meeting of officers and Sarpanches to discuss modalities for smooth execution of government schemes in the block.
In the meeting, a detailed review of the development schemes of Horticulture, Agriculture, Health, RDD, Education, Fisheries, Social welfare, animal Husbandry and Sheep, besides Social Security Schemes etc was taken.
The major schemes discussed in the meeting included Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY); Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH); State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK); Janani Suraksha Yojana(JSY), Prime Minister's Development Package (PMDP), Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan (ATMA), MGNREGA, PMAY-G, KCC, pensions etc. Scheme wise physical and financial progress was also reviewed.
The sarpanches raised numerous issues pertaining to roads, power, water supply, ration, forest clearance, closures under CAMPA besides, demanded construction of Bridges, Bridal paths, water tanks etc.
The chairperson asked the officers to put in extra efforts for smooth implementation of the schemes meant for poor masses of the rural areas. She also stressed on the officers to resolve all basic issues of the public pertaining to drinking water and power supply.
The meeting unanimously decided to hold awareness camps and IEC activities on regular intervals to make people fully aware about all government programs. The chairperson emphasized participatory planning at Panchayat level and selection of eligible beneficiaries for different schemes.
The meeting also decided to finalize all work proposals through Gram Sabha. All the departments were asked to depute their representatives while holding Gram Sabha to prepare Panchayat level plans.
Slew of instructions were also passed by the chairperson for smooth completion of all water supply schemes and road projects besides ensuring supply of ration, 100 percent coverage under health insurance and other related schemes.
Earlier Block Development Officer Mahore Rajinder Singh, who is also Secretary of Block Development Council, presented a brief resume about the achievements of different schemes, which was followed by one-to-one discussion with officers.
Among others the meeting was attended by AEEs, Range Officer, TSWO, AEOs, VAS, SDO, Supervisors, Sarpanches and other field functionaries of various departments.
