ABVP hoisted National Flag at 2729 places in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladak

JAMMU, Aug 21: ABVP hoisted National Flag at 2729 places in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh under its campaign 'Ek Gaon Ek Tiranga' on the occasion of 75 years of Independence. The celebration of "Ek Gaon, Ek Tiranga" campaign by ABVP witnessed 2729 flag hoisting events at 1905 villages and 376 slums across Jammu Kashmir. 41,226 citizens participated in the campaign at different locations of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. Many colorful programme was also done at many places of Jammu Kashmir with great enthusiasm and joy. Many places witnessed collectively singing the national anthem, cultural programmes, competitions etc. These programs aimed at inculcating the sense of patriotism among the masses of our country. ABVP karyakartas unfurled National Flag in 3 villages of Poonch, 40 villages of Rajouri, 205 villages & 5 Bastis of Sunderbani, 187 villages & 6 Bastis of Kathua, 140 villages & 10 Bastis of Samba, 340 villages of Jammu Grameen, 75 wards & 10 bastis of Jammu Mahanagar, 230 villages & 18 Bastis of Udhampur, 176 villages & 13 Bastis of Reasi, 117 villages & 7 Bastis of Ramban, 97 villages of Doda, 75 villages of Kishtwar and 218 villages & 307 Bastis of Kashmir and 2 villages of Ladakh. ABVP believes that every citizen of the country had contributed to the freedom struggle, but the victory of the same was attributed to a selected few. Keeping this in mind, ABVP celebrated the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' by hoisting the national flag at every district of Jammu Kashmir.
State Secretary of ABVP Jammu Kashmir Mukesh Manhas said that ABVP has taken a big campaign to hoist National Flag at every village of Jammu Kashmir in which ABVP volunteers has unfurled National Flag at 2729 places of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. He further said ABVP has unfurled National Flag at 218 villages & 307 Bastis of Kashmir. Before the abrogation of Article 370 some people used to say that if Article 370 will remove, not a single hand will be left to raise the tricolor in Jammu and Kashmir. Hositing National Flag at 2729 places in Jammu Kashmir is a slap on the face of such people. Now there are so many hands to hoist the tricolor in Jammu and Kashmir. He further said after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, there are lot of changes has happened in Jammu Kashmir.
