JAMMU, Aug 21: Aam Adami Party (AAP) Vice-President Jammu-Poonch Parliamentry Constituency Rajesh Gupta while addressing the new entrants in Aam Aadmi Party at party headquarters here expressed the disappointment in the society as they are completely fed up with the caste based politics and subsequent unrest as also divisive mindset being fed in the minds of our younger ones which is very dangers for the unity and integrity of the Nation.
He said that the biggest blow to communalism inflicted by the Kejriwal is free electricity upto 200 units, free water upto 20,000 litres, quality health services in Government Hospitals and quality education in Government institutions to one and all irrespective of caste, creed and colour. At this crucial juncture of time when whole nation is passing through a traumatic state of affairs, the AAP leader alarmed the countrymen and said the only alternative left is to adopt 4-point agenda of dynamic and honest leader Arvind Kejriwal.
Vice-President urged the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to waive off water and electricity bills for next one year from March 2021 to till March 2022 in view of second wave of Corvid-19 outbreak. Gupta asked government to come up with concrete relief measures for a larger section of the society whose livelihood has got affected by the lockdown imposed by the authorities in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
Rajesh Gupta appealed the J&K government to grant a one-time general amnesty to the people regarding their pending electricity bills until this financial year.
Gupta said that the government was duty bound to take initiatives for the welfare of the people, especially in a calamitous situation like the post-COVID era.
"The people must be given respite under these disastrous circumstances. I appeal the government to consider this matter seriously and declare a one-time fee waiver to the consumers in J&K," he said.
