| IWC Jammu celebrates Rakshabandhan with police personnel | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 21: On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, a festival that celebrates the divine relationship between brothers and sisters, InnerWheel Club (IWC) New Gen members visited the Nowabad Police Station Jammu and celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the police personnel by tying Rakhis on their wrists and appreciating them.
The event was conducted with the aim to appreciate the efforts put forth by these real-life heroes in our society who willingly work even on such an occasion. President of the club Anita Goel, on behalf of the club members expressed gratitude to the frontline warriors and pray for the longevity of the life of the police personnel, the real protectors of our city.
Club Secretary Ambika Samnotra added that there would not have been a better way to thank police officers who have sworn to protect us.
Small refreshments were enjoyed by the gathering. SHO praised this initiative by the club members and added that such activities that spread smiles and brings joy to those officers who are away from their families on this auspicious occasion should happen more.
