JAMMU, Aug 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while participating in the self-reliant Nari-Shakti programme through video conferencing, announced to release an amount of Rs 1625 crores for women entrepreneurs saying that in order to increase the scope of entrepreneurship among women, big financial help has been released for more participation in the resolve of self-reliant India.
Rekha Mahajan, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, shared this, while terming the release of such a large amount as a gift to the sisters of the country before the festival of Rakshabandhan.
She said that from the day one, PM Narendra Modi has been taking one decision after the other with an objective of socio economic upliftment of the women by providing various means to be self reliant and become a successful enterpreneur.
Rekha Mahajan said that there are so many programmes for women empowerment as government wants women to stand shoulder to shoulder with the men.
While mentioning few programmes and schemes, Rekha said that the meritorious girl students are being encouraged to study and they can pursue their dream of becoming a doctor, engineer or entrepreneur, etc through Super 75 Scholarship scheme which provides scholarships to intelligent girl students who belong to the economically weaker sections of society and should be studying in recognized government schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
She also elaborated on Hausla scheme, Mission Youth “Tejaswini Scheme”, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), and Ujjwala Yojana, under which 80 million women have received free LPG connections.
