Mehbooba Mufti instigating people to create law & order situation & damage peace: Chrungoo
8/23/2021 11:10:23 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 23: "Mehbooba Mufti is responsible for instigating people of Kashmir valley to create law & order situation, pick up guns & damage peace and normalcy in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir under the garb of Taliban developments in Afghanistan", said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP & KP leader and Incharge: Deptt of political feedback, BJP-J&K.
It is ridiculous on the part of a former chief minister and the head of a political party to issue such irresponsible statements that have potential of treason and sedition. Such a reckless speech before the party activists and the public is tantamount to rebellion against the constitution and the nation. It is strange that the Kashmir centric leaders are issuing such statements while their own kith and kin are well settled in other cities and foreign lands, said Chrungoo in a statement in reaction to the speech of Mufti.
"It is absolutely absurd to equate Afghanistan and Taliban situation to Kashmir. The barbaric Pathan rule in Kashmir was defeated and ended in 1819 for ever and there was no likelihood for any kind of a similar situation emerging in the valley. The frustration of Mehbooba Mufti is due to the situation asking her and her family for public accountability and transparency which they were never habitual of. But the things have changed and they need to be accountable for their past acts and thus come clean in the eyes of the public. Her statements can lead her to legal complications as well", said the BJP leader.
Chrungoo also lambasted the advisers of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Punjab Congress leader for their unrealistic and malicious statements in regard to Kashmir. He said that these Congress leaders have no locus standi about Jammu and Kashmir. He praised the Chief Minister of Punjab, Amrinder Singh for his redicule against these Congress leaders on the issue. Kashmir is a settled issue for ever and nothing will be allowed to unsettle the settled issue. So-called inner and outer dialogue on Jammu and Kashmir is simply a far cry and futile dream of some failed politicians who indulge in such gimmicks in order to keep them in limelight.
"The government is appealed to take stern action against those who try to disrupt the public order & peace and incite people to adopt violence as a means of protest. The "warnings" issued by the political leaders should also be taken seriously and application of PSA or NSA should be considered as well to ensure calm and peaceful environment", added BJP leader.
