DODA, Aug 23: Social Welfare Department Doda in collaboration with ALIMCO today held a distribution camp here at Thathri sub division to provide assistive aids to special abled persons.
The Camp was held under the overall supervision of DSWO Doda Zubair Ahmed Lone, as a part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Prosthetic devices and other hearing aids including crutches, wheelchairs, hearing aid, CP chairs, Smart Cane, Artificial limbs etc were distributed among 37 specially abled beneficiaries.
DDC member and President MC Thathri- the special invitees appreciated the persistent efforts of the department as well as of ALIMCO for extending handholding to the specially abled persons living in the far off places of the sub division.
Among others present were TSWO Thathri, PRI members, Representatives of ALIMCO, besides prominent citizens of the area. |
