DC Kishtwar kick starts up-gradation work from Bhanderkot to Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Aug 23: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today kick started the double lanning work from KM 95.55 (Bhanderkot) to KM 111.06 (Chatroo) on Khellani- Kishtwar-Chatroo section of NH-244 undertaken by NHIDCL.
The DC also inspected the blacktopping work on the Passerkoot to Nayidgam link road undertaken by PMGSY Sub-Division Chatroo.
He was accompanied by SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; GM NHIDCL Parveen Ahalawat; Tehsildar Chatroo Suman Sharma; Xen PMGSY besides other officials.
The DC impressed upon the NHIDCL authorities to mobilise adequate men and machinery to complete the double lane up-gradation work in a time bound manner with strict adherence to the quality parameters.
Meanwhile, he also inspected the blacktopping work on the Passerkoot to Nayidgam link road undertaken by the PMGSY Chatroo.
Expressing dissatisfaction on the poor performance and quality of the work, the DC directed the tehsildar Chatroo to issue show cause notice and take action against the concerned contractor for the lackadaisical approach.
The tehsildar Chatroo was also directed to closely monitor the pace and quality of work as it is the lifeline project for the area.
En-route, the DC Kishtwar also interacted with the locals of Nayidgam and listened to their grievances. He assured them that their genuine issues have been forwarded to the concerned officers for immediate redressal.
