One week one nation campaign concludes at SPMR college

JAMMU, Aug 23: To commemorate 75th Independence Day, Eco-Club, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu in collaboration with Paryavaran Sanrakshan celebrated 'One Week One Nation' which started from 15th August, 2021 and culminated on 22nd August, 2021.
During the weeklong celebration various events were organized which started with Flag hoisting and plantation drive in the College campus on 15th August, 2021 followed by registration drive for the students to join Eco-club. Other activities such as Eco-club Logo Making Contest and Nature Poem writing contest and Nature photography contest were held online. Various contests were judged by Prof. Preeti Dogra, HOD, Department of EVS, GGM Science College, Jammu.
In the Logo Making Competition, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was bagged by Martin Singh, Manyata Sharma and Pratha respectively. In the Nature Poem writing contest, first prize was shared by Jogesh Chalotra and Kulwant Kour while the 2nd prize was won by Deepika Sharma and 3rd prize again shared by Navya Gupta and Navjot Singh.
In the Nature Photography contest, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was won by Tarun Sharma, Shamli Slathia and Kamia Khajuria respectively. The Principal of the College, Prof. R.S.Jamwal was the Chief Patron of the weeklong celebration. He lauded the efforts of the students for showing their innovative ideas in all the activites and appreciated ENO, Dr. Deepak Pathania for sensitizing students towards environment and infusing love for nature among them.
