Vaccination Drive organized in GDC Darhal

Darhal, Aug 24: A vaccination drive against COVID-19 was organized in Government Degree College Darhal by Block Medical Officer Darhal.
A number of students 18 and 18 plus both Sem-II and Sem-IV were administered 1st Dose of Vaccine against COVID-19. Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia thanked Block Medical Officer for providing a golden opportunity to the students to get Ist Dose of vaccine at their door step.
He said that before opening of the academic institutions all the students needs to be fully vaccinated so that they may not be attacked by COVID in future. He also appreciated the efforts of college students for wholeheartedly taking part in this vaccination drive.
Dr. Nagina Kouser, Block Medical Officer Darhal, along with Dr. Mir Munawar Iqbal, Mohd. Younus Malik Sr. Pharmacist, Liaqat Ali Pharamacist and Ms. Naseem Akhter conducted the vaccination drive.
Dr. Nagina impressed upon the students for early vaccination as it will reduce the transmission of virus and morbidity as well mortality.
She said that the students shall be administered the second dose whenever it is due to them.
Dr. Ather Aziz Raina NSS Programme Officer of the college told that the NSS Volunteers are already enrolled as Young Warriors for COVID related awareness programmes including peer-to-peer mental health support to the patients of COVID.
The vaccination drive was attended by a number of students and teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college.
