JAMMU, Aug 24: Hindi Sahitya Mandal (HSM), Jammu has reconstituted its Executive Committee which would be headed by Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kumar as its President and Dr. Pawan Khajuria as its General Secretary. The Committee would look after the affairs of HSM for a period of two years.
The other positions in the reconstituted Executive Committee are Shaminder Kumar and Sanjeev Bhasin as Vice- Presidents; Dr. nirmal Vinod, Prof. Kiran Bakshi, Dr. Chanchal Dogra (all of them former Presidents of HSM) as Advisors; Prof. Gopal Sharma and Monto Dutta Sharma as Deputy Secretaries; Rakesh Abrol as Treasurer; Uma Sharma as Literary Secretary; Aruna Sharma as Competition Secretary; Jang S Verman as Publicity Secretary; and Shyan Judeja, Vijay Saraaf, Manjeet Kaamra, Brij Mohan, Balneel Devam, Inderjeet Singh Pujari, Anil Azad, Prof. Rajni Bala and Suman Pal as members.
It may be mentioned here that Dr. Raj Kumar, a retired Professor of University of Jammu, is an accomplished poet and short story writer of Hindi language. He has done a lot of work on literary criticism, and published so many books. He has been associated with Hindi Sahitya Mandal for a long period. Dr. Pawan Khajuria is a well known Hindi satire writer and playwright along with taking part in theatre activity. He also has been associated with, and acted on various positions in Hindi Sahitya Mandal. |
