SAMBA, Aug 24: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba Police today in a joint drive with District Civil administration booked 103 persons across the District Samba and imposed a fine amounting to Rs. 51,500/- on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of District Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba Police & District Civil Administration booked 103 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Samba Police appeals to its citizens to always wear a face mask when stepping out of home, avoid unnecessary travel, be strict to the permitted limit of social gathering and remember to follow COVID Appropriate Behavior as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. People are further advised to maintain social distancing & personal hygiene.
