| Shopkeeper arrested by Akhnoor Police for selling Chinese thread (Gattu) | | |

Akhnoor, Aug 24: Today during market checking by Akhnoor Police one shopkeeper was arrested for selling chinese thread gattu which is banned. Based on reliable information about sale of dreaded Nylon thread (Gattu), a police team of Police Station Akhnoor led by Inspector Hilal Azhar SHO Police Station Akhnoor under the supervision of SDPO Varun Jandial conducted checking of various shops of kite sellers in Akhnoor town during which one one person namely Karan Kumar S/o Puran Chand R/O Mandrian Tehsil Maira Mandrian Jammu was arrested for selling Chinese Gattu. Case FIR No. 212/2021 U/s 188 IPC registered.
Further during market checking by Akhnoor Police in Akhnoor Town various persons were also challaned for violating covid-19 guidelines. |
