Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 25: A meeting of Retired Un-regularised Electric Engineers Forum was held today at Jammu under the chairmanship of its Convener Er Suraj Prakash Gupta to take stock of the shortcomings pointed out in the establishment committee.
The regularization of PDD Engineers is long overdue is in the notice of authorities in secretariat since decades. The forum is dismayed that half baked case for regularization of retired engineers was presented before the establishment committee after almost two years against the SAC decision of 22nd October, 2019 wherein it was stipulated to complete the regularization process within a time frame of two months without referring the case to PSC, as one time exception, so as to make it time bound, the meeting observed.
At the same time the governor had directed all departments to regularize employees in a speedy manner and clear backlogs.
During the subsequent deliberations the members were very critical of the Government & Administrative Department. No less a personality than the Governor Satya Pal Malik Ji himself had castigated the administration for failing to frame seniority lists and regularization of Engineers during a television interview soon after he took over as governor of Jammu & Kashmir more than two years back, it observed.
