SAD demands priority to locals in jobs at army units

JAMMU, Aug 25: A delegation of Sarpanch Association Dansal (SAD) held a meeting with the army officers of 15 Field Ammunition Depot (FAD) at Kanyala in Nagrota constituency here today.
Led by the president of Sarpanch Association Dansal Balbir Singh the delegation members raised the issue of recruitment of local youth of the areas falling in the jurisdiction of Block Dansal while conducting recruitments in the aforesaid 15Field Ammunition Depot situated at Kanyala.
Balbir Singh conveyed to the officers that the association is not against recruitment in the said depot from across the UT or the nation but it wants that priority needs to be given to the youth living in Block Dansal during recruitment to the aforesaid establishment. Not only this he appealed to the officers to accord priority to local youth in providing contractual jobs or for labour work inside the depot. He also suggested that at least a fixed number of recruitments be reserved for the locals.
Those present in the delegation included Sarpanch Romal Singh, Sarpanch Mansa Ram, Sarpanch Amzad Wage, Sarpanch Omkar Singh, Sarpanch Jasmine Akhtar, Sarpanch Saraj Din and Sarpanch Balwan Singh.
