| JKOA allows none to hold any event of Olympic Games | | |

JAMMU Aug 25: It has been widely circulated on whatsapp groups that Sheikh-ul-Alam Sports Association Baramulla is conducting Kashmir Olympic Games-2021 under the aegis of JAK Sports Council, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Jammu&Kashmir Olympic Association.
This is for information of all concerned that Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association, affiliated to Indian Olympic Association which is further affiliated to International Olympic Committee and a registered under Registrar of Societies has not permitted any Individual/Club/JAK Olympic Association-Kashmir Wing to organize any event under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association. Nobody has taken any permission nor has anybody been allowed to conduct any event using the name of Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association.
It is for information of all Sports Associations affiliated to JAK Olympic Association not to take any cognizance of publication of notice to any such whatsapp Group and participate in such event.
It has already been decided in the General Body Meetings of Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association held on 9,h of April and 2nd of August 2021 respectively, to organize JAK UT Games in the month of September-October 2021 prior to the participation of JAK UT Contingent in the National Games to be held in 2021. Coaching Camps will be conducted as per schedule. |
