| JKOA members call on President IOA | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 6: Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma President and Dushyant Sharma General Secretary J&K Olympic Association met with Dr. Narinder Dhruv Batra, President Indian Olympic Association and discussed about Team India's Performance at Tokyo Olympic Games and the development of Sports within the J&K UT. Both the officials explained to Dr. Batra about the difficulties they are facing in J&K on account of new sports code, which is direct interference in the autonomy of the Sports Bodies and is violative of the Olympic Charter. The president Indian Olympic Association, Dr. Narinder Dhruv Batra assured them of full support from Indian Olympic Association and confirmed to them that he will personally come to J&K UT and along with them meet the government officials and request them to come to practical solution which is in conformity with Olympic charter and values and also respects the autonomy of sports bodies. |
