9/7/2021 11:34:51 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Sept 7: J&K Panthers Trade Union (JKPTU) held a massive protest at Narwal Transport Nagar Jammu demanding gazetted holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh on 23rd September.
General Secretary J&K Panthers Trade Union, Neeraj Dewan said that we cannot forget Maharaja Hari Singh’s contribution towards the accession of J&K with India. He further said that the state of J&K is the integral part of India, only because of contribution and efforts of Maharaj Hari Singh. He said that September 23rd was ignored thus disregarding the monumental contributions of the Maharaja who gave millions of nationalist people of the state the greatest satisfaction of calling themselves as proud Indians. He added that if Accession day could be observed as state holiday, it was shear profanity to deny the same on Maharaja Birthday who took the historic decision of acceding J&K to the Union of India by executing the Instrument of Accession. He said that we demand the declaration of holiday on 23rd of September as a mark of tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh. The people who accompanied him on the occasion were Jagdish Singh, Amar Chand, Bablu Ram, Ramesh Kumar and others. They urged LG Manoj Sinha to declare gazetted holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh on 23rd September.
