GDC Billawar organizes Fit India Freedom Run 2.0

BILLAWAR, Sep 8: Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 at Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar as a part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' was organized today to commemorate 75th year of the Independence of India. Students including NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and staff members of the college participated in the run.
Prof Anita Jamwal, Principal of the Institution, flagged off the Freedom Run 2.0 from the campus. Associate Prof Lekh Raj, Assistant Prof Rakesh Sharma, Assistant Prof Arun Sharma Assistant Prof Shiv Khajuria and PTI Ravi Kumar participated in the run. Before the run Prof Anita Jamwal thanked students for coming to participate in the run even during the raining conditions and ongoing pandemic period. She appealed the students to stay fit to face adversities of life and help in building a much stronger country. After taking around of the proposed route, the Freedom Run culminated outside the administrative block.
The Freedom Run was organized jointly by NSS and NCC units of GDC Billawar focusing the theme of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 “Jan Bhagidari se Jan Andolan” through the coordinated efforts of Assistant Prof Yash Paul, NSS Programme Officer and Assistant Prof. Raman Kumar NCC Caretaker.
The whole programme was organized under the overall supervision of college Principal Prof Anita Jamwal. On the occasion, she appreciated the efforts of NSS and NCC units.
