GDC Ramgarh organizes webinar on “Relevance of NAAC under NEP”

JAMMU, Sep 8: Govt Degree College Ramgarh organized a webinar on “Relevance of NAAC in the light of NEP-2020” today under the guidance of Dr Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College. Around 100 participants comprising of Principals, Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professor along with the students participated in the webinar. The event was started with an inaugural address by Dr Aditi Khajuria, Associate Professor, Department of English. She extended her warm welcome to the participants and Resource Persons of the Webinar and introduced the objectives of the Webinar.
Prof SK Yadav, Former Head, Deptt of Teacher Education, NCERT, gave a detailed presentation on NAAC’s Assessment and Accreditation process. He highlighted about the core values, vision and mission and how NAAC facilitates the HEI to climb the quality ladder. He elaborated about the seven criterions and the key indicators.
Dr Davinder Kour, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, delivered her views on the features of NEP-2020. She further highlighted that this NEP-2020 is a visionary policy for our Nation Building and Golden future of education. This policy will pave the way of social and academic equality, value orientation and independent society.
The session was concluded by a vote of thanks by Prof Seema Sharma. She expressed special gratitude to the Resource Persons and the entire organizing committee.
