| GDC Thannamandi organizes essay writing competition on ILD | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 8: GDC Thannamandi, Department of Political Science, under the aegis of AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV organized an online essay writing competition on the theme “Literacy for a human- centered recovery: Narrowing the digital divide” on International Literacy Day (ILD). The competition was conducted under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Javaid Ahmed Qazi Principal of the college. Prof Raheela Mushtaq convener cultural and literary committee was the Event Coordinator. A good number of students participated in this competition. Samreen Tabassum of 6th semester secured 1st position, 2nd position was secured by Mobeen Ali Shah of 3rd semester and 3rd position was bagged by Asma Farooq of 1st semester. The judges of this competition were Prof Ajaz Nazir HOD Physics, Prof Naveen Sharma HOD Environmental Sciences and Prof Mohd Shoket HOD Education. The organizer of the essay competition was Prof Fatima Qazi, HOD Political Science.
