| GDC Ramnagar organizes slogan writing event on suicide prevention | | |

Udhampur, Sept 10: An awareness program on theme “suicide prevention” was organised by NSS unit and Psychological Counselling Cell, Govt Degree College Ramnagar on 10th Sept 2021. “World Suicide Prevention Day” is observed every year on 10th September to take action in preventing suicide. In this regard, the slogan writing event was organised to spread awareness among masses on preventing suicide. Also, to encourage students to come forward and raise their voice against prevalence of suicide among youth and provide the psychosocial support to those in need.
The response of the students was overwhelming. NSS volunteers and other students actively participated in this initiative by sharing their perspectives on the theme through slogans.
The initiative was taken under the guidance of Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar who shared a message among youth on managing the challenging situations with hope and positivity as well as to indulge in more prosocial behaviour.
The entire event was organised by Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS Programme officer and Prof. Divya Puri, Coordinator Psychological Cell. |
